Improvement of telecommunications infrastructures in Angola
Proef is working with Unitel, the largest Angolan telecommunications operator, to improve its telecommunications stations' energy efficiency.
We have started this project in January. It consists of reconverting 225 energy systems in stations across the country with four months duration, using the Huawei - Power Cube equipment, converting the current systems into duty-cycle and hybrid systems, both very efficient when it comes to monitoring and energy consumption. We will also proceed to the conversion of existing air conditioning systems to DC systems.
With the country's growing concern to improve its infrastructure for the Angolan people's benefit, the partnership between Unitel and Proef has been fundamental in accelerating this process.
