Proef and Geodesia establish a partnership for the German market
With the German market becoming increasingly competitive, Proef established a partnership with Geodesia for fibre optic network construction in Germany. This partnership resulted in the sale of the majority of Proef Deutschland GmbH to Geodesia, which will allow Proef group to expand its operation in this market through proximity between Geodesia and the major-telecom operators.
Established in the German market for more than nine years, Proef Deutschland provides highly specialised fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) services for tier 1 telecom operators and utility companies. Proef has already installed more than 400 km of fibre network in Germany and currently manages more than 250 employees in this country.
In less than 11 months after its arrival in Germany, Geodesia currently manages close to a thousand workers and has met with more than 70 municipalities across the country. Using an innovative approach of bringing fibre closer to the home to enable faster customer connections, Geodesia has already deployed annualised volumes of wired homes making it one of the largest fiber deployers in Germany.
