Galp starts the construction of its first large-scale photovoltaic solar energy project in Portugal, in the Municipality of Alcoutim. Proef's mission is to build a very high voltage (150kV) line that will allow the energy produced by the plants to be transported to the REN substation in Tavira.

The estimated annual production capacity of the Photovoltaic Plants is 250 thousand megawatts/hour of electricity, enough to supply more than 80 thousand families and avoid the emission of 75 thousand tons of CO2 per year.

Besides contributing to the development of the Alcoutim area, this project places Proef as a strategic partner in the renewable energy sector.
