Project TRUST

Project Objectives

This project aims to develop a meteorological and environmental monitoring system capable of identifying risk conditions for driving on road infrastructures, fitted with ITS technologies. It will make it be possible to alert vehicle drivers to the danger of accidents in certain parts of the roads and thus reduce the number of incidents and associated fatalities.
The TRUST project is also framed within the European project SARWS - Accurate location-aware road weather services composed of multi-modal data, of the Celtic-Plus/EUREKA program, composed of a consortium of 30 entities, led by the Telecommunications Institute and a scheduled duration of 36 months.

SARWS aims to provide real-time weather monitoring services that ensure a more scalable, robust, safe, efficient, secure and energy sustainable mobility and transport system.
